Chow mein


8 ounces thin lo mein noodles

one tablespoon peanut oil

1 carrot, julienned

one/two head napa cabbage, sliced thin

1/2 onion, sliced

one/four cup chicken broth

one/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Sliced green onions, for topping


  1. Deliver a pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles according to the bundle directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet more than medium-higher heat and add the peanut oil. Include the carrots, cabbage and onions and cook for one minute. Include the chicken broth, soy sauce and sesame oil, then toss in the noodles. Prime with sliced green onions.
