There it sat on the overhead lines outside my house late one night: a gorgeous beautiful owl. Unfortunately, my photograph of it wasn’t so gorgeous and beautiful. I love these creatures.

That’s a Barred Owl (Strix varia). You’ve probably heard them at night too- they make a sounds similar to monkeys or as if they’re saying “Who Cooks? Who Cooks for You?” Appropriate for your blog!

I didn’t notice that Lyndsey! I know where those lines are and I just “see” them in my head.
