Giveaway Winners Announced

Here I am this morning, up and at ‘em before 6:00 a.m. (which is a rare occurence for me).  After all the counting, recounting, and double-checking, there were 237 chances for individuals to win this month’s giveaway.  It was a pleasure to “meet” everyone who stopped by to say hello.  I typed the numbers in at 5:30 a.m. (or there abouts) and waited with held breathe at the numbers random.org would give me.

And this is what it spit out: entries #29 and #126.   Hmmmm, why did I ask for two entries you might ask?  Keep reading, you’ll find out soon enough.

The winner of this lovely bento set is entry #29, Mosaica, who tells us hello and Happy Mardi Gras! from White River Junction, VT.  She also found Not Exactly Bento from my announcement of the contest on the Just Bento forum.

If you read the entry guidelines for this giveaway, you might have noticed this statement: “Oh and another thing, there may be another surprise in this contest for another lucky person.  A surprise I’m not mentioning.  So just enter already.  You never know what might happen.

Above is a small rabbit bento box from Ichiban kan and a bear egg mold I’ve been holding onto for quite awhile waiting for the right time to give them away.  I sort-of-kind-of had it in mind to give them away as a second prize in this contest.  Then, there were so many entries.  Then, I found that lovely fabric that matched it all and decided it was destiny.  I HAD to give this set away.  Our second randomly selected entry is entry #126, Christine, who says Hi! from Melbourne, Australia.  Looking up the entries and finding out that an entrant from Melbourne, Australia won made me sigh wistfully.  I so want to visit Australia one day.

Mosaica & Christine: E-mail me at nebento at cox dot net to claim your prizes.  Prizes will be shipped out next week.

For everyone else, never fear.  There is always another bento contest around the corner somewhere around the ‘net, and this morning seems to be the morning fo contests.  I’ve listed a few below you might consider entering.

Maisie Eats Bento: 100th Bento Giveaway.  Boy is this ever some loot!  I’m seeing 3 bento boxes, 2 egg molds, and all sorts of other accessories.  Makes me want to enter.  Get on over there and enter.  And Congrats Lisa on nearing 100 bentos!  I remember that day fondly, even if I did think it was a wee bit boring at the time.

Lunch in a Box: If you haven’t seen the post yet this morning, get ye over to Lunch in a Box for her current giveaway, sponsored by Kids Konserve.  That is one awesome looking set!  Makes me want to enter that one too.

Adventures in Bento Making: She’s giving away a cool aluminum type bento box from lifewithoutplastic.com.  I love this website.  She makes the coolest looking bentos!

My Bento Art: Giving away a handmade, beyond cool looking bento bag and matching belt.  Okay, now that one I just might have to enter.  How cool is that?!

Be the bento everyone!  I hope you have a great Friday!

      Chritine,
I’m sorry, life has been so busy. I was just packing your prizes to mail off this week, then I was going to shoot you an e-mail. I apologize for the laziness on my part. Thanks for checking in. You will hear from me at the end of next week (or so I’m hoping).

I am so excited to find someone else in Omaha that is interested in Bento! I make a bento just about everyday for work… my coworkers are used to it now, but in the beginning, they thought I was a little off. They especially enjoyed some of the Christmas bento I made this year.

Please contact me at thegoodlife62@cox.net if you are interested in meeting and talking with someone else in town that is into bento.

    Leslie
