This morning was all about the quick fix for lunch. I grabbed a vegetarian burrito from the fridge, whipped up some pseudo-tamagoyaki (that nearly fell apart on me argh!), and quickly made a bit of carrot kinpira in the same pan after the eggs were finished. A cut up blood orange rounds out this bento. The hardest part about this packed lunch? Trying to find the right box to fit what I’d chosen to bring for lunch. I tried out three boxes before settling on this one. Which just means even more to wash this afternoon. LOL! I crack me up.
What’s for lunch on your end today? Let me know below.
Be the bento everyone!

Gorgeous, as usual!
Well, thank you (as usual!) hehehehee
Your quick bentos are definitely better than my quick bentos!
I’m working at home today but I made up bentos for the week on Sunday night so I will eat one for lunch. They contain: lemon chicken, sauteed zucchini, and steamed asparagus. Not the most colorful bento but the store didn’t have yellow summer squash so both veggies are green. Still tastes good!
What a great idea to make things up for the week like that. Your bentos sound yummy.
I’ve found that, as a student who is super busy during the week, it works best for me right now. It helps that I love leftovers and don’t get bored eating the same thing every day for 4-5 days. Haha
wow are blood oranges normally that dark colored? they look amazing! and what’s carrot kinpira? looks good and i need to get more carrots into my diet. my eyes are horrible.
Here is the recipe for carrot kinpira on Just Bento’s site: http://justbento.com/handbook/recipes-side-dishes-and-space-fillers/easy-sugarfree-carrot-kinpira
I don’t make it often b/c I tend to forget about this simple & quick recipe. But whenever I remember I always enjoy it.
